Executive Coaching brings the best out of leaders
In that time much has changed in terms of the expectations of executives in the workplace.
Today’s executives must balance the often-conflicting priorities of stakeholders (internal and external) with corporate social responsibility. Not to mention the demands of building shareholder value. The importance of Enterprise Leadership has never been greater.
These conflicting priorities cause confusion for many. For others, promotion into senior roles becomes clouded in office politics, unaddressed performance issues in the workplace and stakeholder demands for change. Making a successful career transition or adopting Enterprise Leadership behaviours can be a challenge.
Executive Coaching gets to the heart of issues
Executive coaching works, in part, because of the confidential and personal nature of the coaching relationship. But also because, as a third party, the executive coach’s objectivity is unquestionable. Often we utilise leading 360 degree feedback tools and/or psychometric assessment to identify and help prioritise leadership development needs.
Commercial & leadership knowledge
Our executive coaching team brings together commercial & strategic expertise with enterprise leadership knowledge. Ramsey Hall’s coaches are not failed leaders passing on bad habits. Nor sports or media personalities diversifying into coaching.
Our Executive Coaching offer is distinct:
Executive coaching is only offered by our business and leadership experts who are recognised for their change management and leadership expertise. All the members our team are experienced and qualified to coach.
We base this expertise on high performance working models and our knowledge of what it takes to succeed at senior level. We provide practical coaching with a business focus rather than some abstract theory around neurosciences or colour schemes!
Coaching can be supported with 360-degree feedback and/or psychometric assessment through our sister practice, The Occupational Psychology Group. Indeed, this is usually a basic part of our executive coaching work.
Supportive & Productive
All our executive coaching is focussed on the individual and how they can maximise their impact. Ramsey Hall Executive Coaching bases its approach on proven business, occupational psychology and strategy consulting expertise.
This is combined with insights from hundreds of executive coaching and management consultancy assignments across numerous organisations.
A Track Record to be Proud of
Here is what people have said:
"Matthew offers his wide subject knowledge freely, tailored to, and coupled with, an insightful understanding of the challenge in hand. His advice on the smallest detail always carries a strong link to business strategy, which coupled with his empathy for the challenge, offers an immediate and lasting positive impact."
"The Ramsey Hall executive coach helped guide me through a role transition process with excellent personal commitment and a high degree of industry knowledge."
"I have worked with Ramsey Hall for a number of years on selection and development assignments. On all occasions Phil and Matthew has been able to demonstrate diligence in running the assignment and a good understanding of the brief leading to a successful outcome."
"Sometimes coaching requires frank and honest comment. You may not always agree with Phil’s advice at the time it is given - but you will look back upon it as sound advice soon afterwards."
A typical Executive Coaching Assignment
A senior manager had been promoted to general management level but had not received a great deal of mentoring and no executive coaching. Performance concerns around the transition had surfaced. This was centred on personal impact, enterprise leadership capability and strategic awareness.
Ramsey Hall’s Executive Coach worked with the participant to understand the issues and to identity change priorities. 360-degree feedback and psychometric assessment from The Occupational Psychology Group helped achieve this.
The ‘executive coaching’ contract between the participant and our executive coach facilitated a strong bond of trust and mutual empathy. This enabled both parties to work closely together to help the participant become more self-aware and, hence, develop their skills.
Part of the bigger picture
Executive coaching is just one of the leadership assessment & development suite of advisory services offered by Ramsey Hall and The Occupational Psychology Group (The OPG) since 1991.
