The Issue

Ramsey Hall advised a client who specialises in distributing technical components to specialist engineering and manufacturing sectors. They had grown significantly since formation, so they needed to recruit a commercially focused director as part of the succession plan for the CEO role.

The Solution

The client approached Ramsey Hall because of our reputation in hiring candidates for industrial sector clients. The brief called for a candidate who could support the entrepreneurial owner to transition the business to a more corporate environment that is focused on service as well as sales.

The Outcome

The process involved an executive search of the component supply chain sector and the longlisting of 10 candidates. From which, 8 candidates were interviewed by our consultant. The best four candidates were then assessed using psychometric assessments especially designed for commercial and sales roles. A final shortlist of 3 was then presented to the client with detailed interview reports. The successful hire quickly settled into their new environment and gained promotion to CEO.
